Grand Opening of Atotech's New TechCenter in Jablonec nad Nisou, Czech Republic

On February 16th, 2010, Atotech celebrated the Grand Opening of a brand new European TechCenter in Jablonec nad Nisou, Czech Republic. More than 200 guests attended the ceremony and took part to the next day's customer seminar.

The local subsidiary Atotech CZ, a.s. is already well established in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Nonetheless, Atotech's TechCenter approach, together with the new capabilities it discloses, constitutes a unique reality for these markets.

"It is an honor to show you our improved customer support capacities during the Grand Opening of the TechCenter" said the managing director of Atotech CZ, a.s. Mr. Klaus Dieter Bünning.

The newly constructed TechCenter occupies a total area of over 1500 m² for laboratory, office and training rooms. It is equipped with a manual plating line for pretreatment, zinc, zinc alloys and Cr(VI)-free post-treatment processes, dedicated to product development, customer sampling and training. Two types of corrosion chambers are available.

The analytical laboratory of the new TechCenter is Atotech's second biggest in Europe, offering a wide range of state-of-the-art chemical analyses and guaranteeing customers the protocol delivery in within 24 hours. The Materials Science laboratory also guarantees the protocol delivery in within 24 – 48 hours.
