Zinc & Zinc Alloy Electroplating

Traditional electrolytically or mechanically deposited zinc forms the basis of the program. This ensures sacrificial protection of the substrate material, usually recognized as "red rust". A full range of zinc, zinc alloy and mechanical plating products can be provided by Atotech.

Production Technologies

Reflectalloy® ZNA XL
Zinni AL 450 XL

The patented membrane anode system for zinc nickel electrolytes prevents the decomposition of organic additives, the formation of carbonate and sludge. The formation of cyanide is completely avoided. The use of membrane anodes results in reduced operating cost due to lower replenishment and higher productivity. Deposition rates and constant deposit quality from a new solution make up will be maintained under normal production conditions.

  • Reflectalloy® ZNA XL is the optimized rack process for operating with membrane technology.
  • Zinni AL 450 XL is the recommended barrel process for operating with membrane technology.

ZYpHEX®

ZYpHEX® is a regeneration system for high throughput acid zinc electrolytes. It seperates effectively oil contaminations and break down products from the electrolyte without any production downtimes. The use of ZYpHEX® results in lower additive consumption and constant high plating quality.
