EM TechCenter Approach

The Electronics Materials (EM) TechCenters are located in Basel (Switzerland), Guanyin (Taoyuan, Taiwan) and Guangzhou (China). Their main function is to form the bridge between "lab and fab", acting as a proving ground for EM R&D products and as main centers for the creation of applied polymer systems, particularly developing optimal processing methods and practices along with troubleshooting guidelines which can replicate common faults and deliver effective remedies. That experience is taken back into product development so that a continuous technical improvement loop is created, a vital component in effective creation of performant polymer technologies able to meet the needs of customers both today and tomorrow. Atotech's Electronics Materials TechCenters also act as the main training forum for its technical staff, ensuring that they have access to the latest processing technology. This ensures that their technical skills are unsurpassed in the industry and that they are able to deliver to Atotech's customers the highest level of product and technology support.

Basel, Switzerland

The Electronics Materials headquarters is located in Basel (Switzerland) and bears the responsibility for engineering and seamless integration of the latest imaging and substrate technology with and in support of our regional organizations. The TechCenter in Basel focuses on two main technology fields: advanced imaging and structuring along with innovative powder technology, which is redrawing the technology landscape in the area of leading-edge dielectrics and substrates. The TechCenter is equipped with all process equipment necessary to create and test imaging products and also contains the pilot line for RCF and R-RCF manufacture via powder technology.

Guanyin (Taoyuan), Taiwan

This facility consists of different pilot lines, laboratories and an application center for the Electronics Materials (EM) business. The EM application center supports Atotech's worldwide customers with its advanced imaging solutions including LPIR, solder masks and specialty products. Complete equipment for pretreatment, coating, exposure, developing, etching and stripping is installed. With a set of pilot lines, our Guanyin (Taoyuan) TechCenter has the ability to conduct investigations such as sample work or qualifi cation runs for high-tech PCBs and chip carriers.

Guangzhou, China

This facility consists of laboratories and an application center for the Electronics Materials (EM) business. The Electronics Materials application center in Guangzhou supports Atotech's local and regional customers with its advanced imaging solutions including LPIR, solder masks, substrates such as RCF and reinforced RCF and liquid lacquer specialty products. With a set of laboratories, test equipment and methods, the Guangzhou TechCenter has the ability to conduct investigations for customers.
