Non-PFOS Alternative

The generating of mist during Chrome plating is a known issue. As hard chrome plating processes use chromic acid – a compound listed as being toxic – toxic mist can be formed. Mist suppressant can control and minimize the mist generated during Chrome plating. Fumetrol® 21 LF is Atotech's permanent, low foaming, non-PFOS additive specially developed for the prevention of Chromic acid mist. It is suitable for use in both decorative and functional installations. A more foaming version, Fumetrol® 21, is also available.
