For our team at the Berlin site we are looking at the earliest possible date for an: R&D Engineer (m/f)

Your tasks:

• Laboratory-scale experimental work within Research and Development projects in the area of electroplated wear-resistant coatings
• Substance screenings and experimental designs in laboratory-scale, long-term tests of processes and new formulations, proposals for experimental test designs
• Improvements of formulations and processes for hard chrome plating or other functional processes
• Scale-up of laboratory results into pilot plant, support for introduction of new processes into industrial application at customers
• Supporting the compilation of technical documentation
• Recording and documenting experimental results and writing of test reports (also in English)
• Compliance with procedures according to quality management and environmental management systems
• Support of application technology and assistance during internal and external training

Your qualification:

• University / Applied Sciences University degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or surface finishing or plating degree with several years of experience
• Good knowledge of surface finishing preferably with excellent know-how in wear-resistant electroplated coatings
• Excellent written and spoken English, good office software skills
• Experience in dealing with customers
• Strong abilities in cooperation and communication, specific interest in Research and Development oriented work, problem solving oriented thinking, flexibility, team player
• Willingness for worldwide business trips
