Peelable Solder Mask

A variety of surface finishes require protection of selected boards areas or contact pads to apply different finished thereafter or to cover just sensitive part against high temperature or challenging chemical environments. A wide range of PEELABLE SOLDER MASKS, the SD 295X Series including the popular SD 2954 provide such protection and is optimized for a variety of (lead-free) soldering processes like wave soldering, reflow soldering or hot-air solder levelling (HASL).
For galvanic or immersion metal deposition processes special products are available as well. The inherent flexibility of the coatings make them equally useful for Flexible PWB’s or during Flex-Rigid PCB’s processing.

Peelable Solder Masks
Peelable soldermask (also known as strippable solder mask) are applied by screen-printing, act as in-process protection and are removed either after processing in a PCB’s shop or at the assembler.
