We at Atotech offer our deepest concerns and sympathies for those who have been directly impacted by COVID-19. While the situation is quite serious and unprecedented, so too has been the overwhelming response from so many across the globe, including the Atotech team. We, like so many other organizations, have made adjustments to the way we work and the way we serve our customers to ensure we are doing everything in our power to stop the spread of Coronavirus, and minimize its impact on all our stakeholders.
To begin with, we have proactively implemented multiple measures to protect the health and safety of our team, while also aggressively following best practices and guidance from local governmental agencies and authorities. We are utilizing a remote-work staffing model where needed, extending flexibility regarding working hours for those who work on-site to minimize personal interaction, and have reduced travel. The results of these actions have been encouraging, and we will remain vigilant in our efforts to protect our employees, their families, and the communities in which they live and serve.
From a business perspective, we have made, and will continue to make business adjustments in order to serve our customers more effectively in these challenging times, such as the availability of our team of experts through a variety of digital platforms. Our production continues around the world, and we are fully operational and at high capacity in our global network of manufacturing plants in China, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Americas to meet customer demand.
With regard to our supply chain, in the last few months we have experienced some disruption, particularly on raw material supply due to surging demand. To date, we have worked with our vendors to ensure we have covered all our needs, although availability of some feed stocks remains tight and some resulting commercial impacts have been experienced. To ensure that all customers remained serviced during the last months, we have been flexible in our transportation methods and have switched from ground and sea transportation to air freight when necessary. We will continue to stay alert to all market changes and remain flexible in our approach to keep supply chains functioning. We anticipate that the current market conditions will likely continue for the months to come.
We encourage our customers and suppliers around the world to communicate closely with their Atotech partners so we can better understand your business needs and challenges. Together, we can continue to develop solutions to help mitigate the business impact of COVID-19 and serve you at the highest level possible.
In closing, we strongly urge our employees and business partners globally to continue to follow all recommended safety procedures and help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Thank you for your support and stay safe!
