Placing responsible operations

at the center of our corporate objectives

Our management and disclosure

As a chemical technology company, Environmental, Social, and Governance (“ESG”) factors are integral to Atotech’s business. We take our responsibility to promote ESG principles and best practices very seriously. While regulatory requirements differ between geographic regions, we at Atotech have chosen to apply the most ambitious frameworks in all our operating markets. In addition, we seek to continuously improve our performance in the areas that are most material for our industry. We aspire to set transparent goals and report on our progress against them, while also pinpointing opportunities to expand our ESG program.

We have a robust policy framework in place, which forms the basis of our operations. Our management systems for health, safety, environment, and quality are regularly reviewed to ensure the best performance.

We have a formal ESG Steering Committee and an ESG Operating Committee, responsible for reviewing, implementing, and managing our ESG program on an ongoing basis.

We are committed to best practices in all aspects of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factor reporting. The ESG Factsheet is our first step in formalizing our reporting and providing greater transparency.

We are committed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and have defined Clean Water and Sanitation, Responsible Consumption and Production, Climate Action, and Good Health and Well-Being for People as areas where we can contribute the most positive change.

“At Atotech, we take our responsibility towards our people, customers and business partners, the environment, as well as the communities we are active in, very seriously. Our commitment is expressed and implemented by applying the highest standards possible when it comes to safety, quality, compliance, and sustainability, and by our focus and actions to constantly improve our ESG performance.”
