Berlin, 22 February, 2024 – Atotech, a brand within the Materials Solutions Division of MKS Instruments, is pleased to announce its participation in the upcoming AMPP Annual Conference & Expo, to be held at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center from March 3 to 7, 2024.
The AMPP Annual Conference and Expo is the largest corrosion and coatings trade show in North America, featuring a diverse program of technical symposia, workshops, forums, and an exhibition. It provides an important platform for discussing the challenges, limitations, and new developments in corrosion protection, especially in harsh environments. The event is organized by AMPP (Association for Materials Protection and Performance), the largest community of corrosion and coatings professionals.
In demanding environments with harsh conditions, power generating and resource extracting facilities must meet stringent standards for reliability, durability, and effectiveness. Factors such as freezing, thawing, humidity, and exposure to chemical substances can affect the chemical and mechanical stability of materials and components in these systems.
Our surface finishing solutions are designed to enhance durability, improve appearance, and functionality, and meet the highest corrosion protection requirements of OEMs and Tiers worldwide. We are pleased to present Atotech solutions, including our range of wear-resistant coatings, paint support technologies, and corrosion protection coatings. Our standout product is the CP3.0® hybrid system, specifically engineered for extreme corrosion protection. This system combines three coating technologies such as corrosion resistant electroplating, paint pretreatment technologies, and paint primers to achieve an unprecedented level of corrosion performance.
Our product highlights include:
Zinni® 220 – Acid zinc nickel process that combines high plating efficiency with superior thickness and alloy distribution across a wide current density range.
Zintek® 400 – Silver organic zinc flake basecoat which can be ambient-temperature cured using XLink 800, providing outstanding corrosion resistance and protection against creep corrosion.
Zintek® Top XT – Inorganic, clear topcoat that, when applied over Zintek® ONE HP basecoat, provides 1,000 hours corrosion resistance in NSST. Zintek Top XT can also be applied over electroplated and passivated layers.
Zylite® family – High-performance acid zinc electrolytes providing bright plating deposits with superior coverage properties and a decorative chromium-like appearance.
Techdip® Black SL HC2 – Organic, black topcoat with excellent coverage on silver and black base coats providing an appealing, uniform black appearance and consistent coefficient of friction / K-Factor.
Tridur® family – High-performance trivalent chromium passivates for the entire color spectrum (blue, black, yellow, iridescent) for zinc and zinc alloys.
Protolux® family – High-performance, environmentally friendly alkaline zinc processes which produce bright, ductile deposits with uniform thickness distribution.
Reflectalloy® ZNA – Alkaline zinc nickel electrolyte for high corrosion protection for a variety of steel components, such as large stampings, tubes, and battery housings.
BluCr® – The safer and more sustainable alternative to hexavalent hard-chrome plating with low friction and good wear-resistance properties.
Nichem® 5104 – High phosphorus electroless nickel providing high corrosion protection and wear resistance. It is ideally suited for applications requiring excellent corrosion resistance such as in the oil and gas industry.
HEEF® KR – High micro-crack count hard chrome process for superior corrosion resistance.
UniPrep® AC – Line of sustainable, near-neutral weld and laser scale removal solutions improving part quality and employee safety.
INTERLOX® Zinc Phosphates – Macro and microcrystalline zinc phosphates offering coatings in the range of 200‒2,500 mg/ft2 to meet a variety of technical requirements.
INTERLOX® Manganese Phosphates – Manganese-iron phosphate for ferrous based substrates offering high lubricity performance and a coating weight of 3,000‒4,000 mg/ft2.
