MKS’ Atotech offers sustainable Cr(VI)-free, non-PFAS-containing plating solutions for both decorative and functional applications, including less harmful trivalent chromium processes and the innovative chromium-free Covertron® 600 plastics metallization process, which eliminates hexavalent chromium from the decorative electroplating process and expands the range of plastic materials that can be metallized. Our innovative Cr(VI)-free TriChrome® family covers the entire spectrum of timeless and contemporary chrome shades – from a bluish light finish resembling hexavalent chrome to a wide range of medium-dark to darker shades. TriChrome deposits offer unique alloy properties, allowing for color adjustments and providing high corrosion resistance. Suitable for metal-based applications or plating on plastics, the TriChrome processes can be combined with bright or satin nickel layers to offer designers the maximum creative versatility.

Highly efficient corrosion resistant electrolytic plating solutions:
Zinni® AL 450 – Alkaline zinc nickel plating process with a stable nickel incorporation of 12–15%.
Zinni® 220 – Acid zinc nickel process that combines high plating efficiency with superior thickness and alloy distribution across a wide current density range.
Highly economic zinc flake basecoats:
Zintek® ONE HP – One layer zinc flake system providing superior corrosion protection.
Zintek® 200 SL F – A cost-efficient basecoat with no topcoat needed, for defined coefficient of friction and high corrosion resistance.
Zintek® 200 – The allrounder basecoat that provides outstanding cathodic corrosion protection and is approved for multiple automotive standards.
Non-PFAS zinc flake technologies:
Zintek® 300 HP – Non-PFAS zinc flake basecoat providing an excellent delay of white corrosion formation.
Zintek® Top LV – Thin layer topcoat that prevents heat-loosening and is approved for multiple automotive standards.
Zintek® Top XT – Inorganic, clear topcoat that, when applied over Zintek ONE HP basecoat, provides 1,000 hours NSST. It can also be applied over electroplated and passivated layers.
